There is still sexual attraction and fantasizing added to the beautiful Italian scenery and seemingly, delicious Italian cuisine.
Sometimes you just want to shout, "Just tell her what you're thinking! This time the ending was spun a little differently than I expected. I liked it. Overall this is a quick, fun read.
Rebecca Winters, Her Desert Prince (Mills & Boon Cherish), Very Good Book
I love it when Harlequin does these continuities with multiple authors linking their stories together. It gives a reader an opportunity to experience different writing styles with familiar characters or environments. There were some characters introduced and situations hinted at that will show up in future stories. I look forward to finding out what the deal is between Nico and Louisa but, with my luck, it will probably be the last book in the series.
This was my first Susan Meier book and I plan to read more. I am currently reading her related online story "Marriage Made in Monte Calanetti".

The two really play well off each other, so much so that they really engage the reader. When Rafe isn't being such a pain sweet and even when he gets way to out of line with his Gordon Ramsey routine Daniella can real him. The story is not that long, but it is a lot of fun. As a side note, I hope we see a book for Daniella's roomy, maybe she find herself a chef or winemaker, hey it's Italy, the land of food and wine. However, I have no complaints since entertainment is my number one goal in reading. This book has a 'flow' that will keep you turning those pages even through your frustration at the innocence of the story. The characters come to life within their conversations, and their physical desire for one another comes through strong enough to hold the readers attention and Hmmmm.. The characters come to life within their conversations, and their physical desire for one another comes through strong enough to hold the readers attention and that is no small feat considering the fact that one wants nothing more than to council the female to never-expect-to-change-a-bad-temper while giving her a nod to allow Rafe to take his spaghetti off the back burner and serve it up, already!!
I enjoyed every page of the romance that this book exudes and I suppose that it the whole idea! Thanks for the opportunity to read this. Jun 02, Michelle Quintana rated it liked it Shelves: first-reads-give-away.
I won this book from Goodreads. Interesting and tumultuous love story to read. I liked how Daniela's and Rafe's attraction was there right from the beginning. I also liked how they didn't fall into bed with each right away. Even though the chemistry is there, their relationship slowly starts to build. The fact that Daniella was not in a hurry to go back home should have told her that she did not really love the guy back home enough to marry him.

It took Daniella leaving to prompt Rafe to examine how he really felt about her. I wish this story had an epilogue to tell me how their love story went, along with the expansion of the restaurant chain Sep 02, Penelope Marzec rated it it was amazing Shelves: contemporary-romance. Susan Meier is a masterful storyteller. She has pitted two total opposites against each other. Dani, the foster child who always yearned for a real home, and Chef Rafe, who wants nothing to do with love. He has big plans and will not let anything get in his way.
He also has a fiery temper. While Dani is sweet, she will stand up for herself when she needs to do so. A lovely story! Jul 24, Myra Wardhana rated it really liked it. The first of the series The Vineyard of Calanetti after reading the next two after this. Surely, the love evolves around Italian food, one of my favourite foods to eat.
